Bolognese bake as son & family were coming round followed by Nutella brioche that hubby made this morning.

I have leftover Chinese style curry - it's far too floral but at least I've cleared out another item which was years past it's use by date   just need to do some more plain rice

Yesterday the Co op had reduced a weirdly shaped piece of pork, supposed to be loin  I had to trim off bits that were more fat than meat, but it was going cheap  :D
So that's in the slow cooker, with veg and  flavourings from the cupboard. Yet to be decided, barbecue/chilli or honey/mustard???? mmmm
It was honey mustard, but the remains are now a fairly hot curry

Leftover lamb warmed up in gravy, plus spuds and cabbage.  I got a stew pack from work free yesterday (swede, parsnip, onion, carrots), so put the onion aside, peeled, chunked up and cooked the rest and made a mixed veg mash as well  :)

There is just about enough lamb left for a curry if I pad it out with dhal and the bone is in the slowcooker tonight for stock, with the onion and the veg peelings for company :)

TV dinner on our laps tonight, lasagne.  Since 10 am today our shop has been cut off by the workmen putting in the new Wight Fibre cable connection.  It's going to be worse tomorrow as they are going across our private forecourt where we park the van. I'm not going any more this week as there is no point both of us sitting there twiddling our thumbs.

Why didn't they get all of that sort of stuff done during "lockdown" when it wouldn't have cause such a disruption?

I've made a mess myself today - I woke up convinced it was Friday and I would be having breaded cod, a handful of chips, mushy peas and as a special treat some of the onion rings I'd bought. I then realised it is in fact Thursday.   ::)  :nowink:  Pasta and pesto it is then  :(

We've been talking to them, they don't even come from the Island, only the Foreman.  The four that are working outside the shop all live in Wiltshire and travel over here every day to arrive by 8am.  On the tea front we had tortillini tray bake with red pepper and cheese sauce with garlic bread.
