Last night I took a pork steak out of the freezer to defrost and in the fridge there are some butternut wedges that need using up, plus half a red pepper - so it looks like I'm having a traybake then :D

Chicken and mushroom lasagne with new potatoes.  Discovered we have run out of garlic! ::) So no smelly breath in this house tonight.  Added to the shopping list.

Spag bol.  The sauce was in the slow cooker all day while I was at work, so just some pasta to cook when I got in and tea was ready  :)

Bonus tea tonight  :D

Bargain lamb leg joint from work and we had spuds and cabbage with it and some roasted spaghetti squash … and it gets better … raspberries set in jelly for pud with squirty cream  :D

All fruit and veg originally from the plot (even if they came via the freezer or the shed)  :)

I've had a pot of gochujang in the cupboard for a while but for the life of me couldn't remember what I'd bought it for. Fed up of looking at it so marinated some chicken and served with garlic and ginger rice tonight - I'm sure it was nice enough but a bit delicate for my taste.

Would have preferred a few slices of leg of lamb with all the trimmings.  :tongue2:  :tongue2:

Yesterday the Co op had reduced a weirdly shaped piece of pork, supposed to be loin  I had to trim off bits that were more fat than meat, but it was going cheap  :D
So that's in the slow cooker, with veg and  flavourings from the cupboard. Yet to be decided, barbecue/chilli or honey/mustard???? mmmm

Loin will get lost and overpowered with the BBQ flavour - I vote the honey mustard.

I have more chicken to use up tonight - Im thinking goldfish curry  ::)  :nowink: that gives me all day to get round to cooking an onion and adding water to the paste, just about manageable I hope.

It's Chinese New  Year so sweet and sour crispy chicken, beef in  black bean sauce, prawn toasts and egg fried rice.  All portions purchased from the Co-op and halved so we have another meal of the same again in the future.
