Pork loin in barbecue sauce with salad and chips. I've just made a lemon and cream cheese pound cake, so probably a slice, or 2, of that afterwards  :D

Oh and here I am with a cup of coffee just wishing and dreaming for a slice of that

Forces mind away from cake … we have roasted chicken legs for tea, with crispy potato cubes made from plot spuds and some stuffed flat mushrooms aquired from work as they were reduced.  Just need something green now … still want that delicious sounding cake  ::)

Back to the sawhedge leftovers today. Tempting as it is just to do a fresh crusty loaf and have sausage sandwiches, that's not a real meal.   Mash, and mixed veg to be made unfortunately no eggs otherwise Id be tempted for toad in the hole. I'm getting ever closer to being able to defrost the freezer  :)

Well, it was a 'pound cake' and even I am not that greedy....
Need to make it a half-pound cake next time, though,  tbh

Spaghetti with prawns in a garlic and tomato sauce.

I had been at the allotment for several hours, so that was not enough carbs  :nowink: Followed it with a rhubarb and quince crumble (fruit mix from freezer), plus ice-cream and squirty cream  :)

Mrs Subversive made roast chicken stuffed with onion wedges, lemon, celery leaves (all for seasoning).  Roasted potatoes, cauliflower casserole.

I got the light duty: I made straight-up rhubarb pie, served with vanilla ice cream. The Mrs. and our 2 sons were over-the-moon for that.

I have a confession though. None of the above came from the garden. But, I wanted to serve the rhubarb pie as a "gateway drug" to growing rhubarb here.  Growing it in the heat here is difficult, but not impossible. I've been doing my research . . .
