It is one of those days.  I would be eyeing up the bread for the makings of chip butties as well 

We have beef curry that has been maturing nicely in the fridge for a day or three, plus poppadoms and the usual bits.

I put some Christmas lamb leftovers, plus I found some cooked Gigandes beans in the freezer and lots more veg into the slow-cooker this morning. It already smells so good

I had planned on chilli but I think it will end up as pasta bake.

There was some left of yesterday's lamb& bean concoction, so will have that with some curly kale from my plot and some Brussels donated by a friend on a nearby plot

Steak & chips pie from the new P O N comfort foods book, but I’m using cubed venison as I bought it on a whim before Christmas but didn’t quite know what for

The slow cooker is on at home with a beef mince spag sauce in it.  I padded it out with whole green lentils to fill the pot.  They are almost indistinguishable from the mince once cooked in the sauce for hours and it means I have extras for the freezer
