Hi,
Can anyone advise on my broad beans (Aquadulce superssimo) which appear to have stopped flowering soon after the first pods started to set. We have just harvested the first few pods but I have just noticied that although we will have a first batch of pods each plant only appears to have about 6-10 pods on (all growing well) but after that no flower buds are developing beyond  about 2-3mm (although the buds are there). Other than this the plants are v.healthy looking and bushy.
About a quarter the plants have had their tips removed but there is no sign of blackfly.
Plants were planted out in November.
A row of peas next to the beans are growing and flowering vigorously so I can't see that this is and environmental problem.
This is the first time I have grown broad beans so is this normal or is something amiss and if normal will flowering commence once I have harvested the current pods.
