Title: Shed roof leak

I hope someone can advise  :)
My fairly recently replaced shed roof has sprung a leak.  I replaced it from scratch year before last, and made a good job using top quality felt and assisted by a careful chap.  I did the overlaps as per perceived wisdom,  correct tacks and spacings, but despite that it's now leaking
I climbed up to have a look but i'm darned if I can see where it's leaking.  It looks fine
I wondered in view of it still looking fine if I could paint over it with bitumen repair etc.  Or what?   To strip it all off seems overkill.

Bitumen paint over the joints might do the job. This is what we had to do with our garage roof when we re-felted last year. It was in the YouTube advice we watched, so might help with the shed

Is there possibly a crack along the ridge? That's what happened on mine so hubby attached a length of guttering(upside down😉) to the ridge. Been fine since

You need to paint a stripe about six inches wide spanning the two pieces of bitumen. I had a think, and it may be that rain is coming in through a nail hole, so putting a dob over any other nail head while you are up there might be good

Thanks Sunny ☺ I could spit!  😊  it looks so darned neat and tidy.  Just when you think all is well  :wub:  Another job to add to the burgeoning to-do list 😑   I have left a bowl in the shed to catch the drips

have you thought about putting clear fibre glass over the felt, it lasts many, many more years than felt, I got this advise of a builder relative who hasn't changed his garage roof in 15 years! thanks to this lol
