hmmm if the plant isn't actively growing you're not going to get much uptake... I wouldn't bother at this time of year....

to use roundup type of weed killers the plant needs to be growing , usually people use it spring time , through to september time ,  be carefull  about wind drift and wet weather

If the leaf is green then Roundup (or other glyphosate) will work but it will be slower. Try to choose a milder spell of weather.

Remember to read the label and follow instructions. The leaves must be dry at application. You need 6 hours of dry after application.

The latter is often difficult to attain during Winter as the leaves are often wet until mid-day and get dew covered at dusk.
