Aaah bless

My Mum reared a tiny kitten many years ago that was found in a crate where my Dad worked.. no sign of it's Mum.

She grew into a lovely cat.

Good luck with your 2 Pamela... and I hope you are feeling much better soon  :)

No amount of time can erase the memory of a good cat, and no amount of masking tape can ever totally remove his fur from your couch.

I could give up chocolate but I'm not a quitter.

It is hiw 30's here, I am frozen, can't stop shivering :( but at least kitties are ok.

Brown kitty can't get enough milk.  The grey one is very hard to feed. I got special kitten food, looks really creamy when made up.  I fed them at midnight, then 4.30am and at 5.30 brown kitty was yelling, so another lot of milk!  They have both poo'd both with 'help' and without.  Their eyes are still shut, looking forward to them being open.
The grey kitten goes to sleep straight away, brown kitty kicks up a fuss  and complains for ages! Grey kitty has about 2.5ml milk, brown kitty 4ml.
Just checked them, both curled up asleep.

Sounds like they're developing some good personalities there!  ;)

Glad they are both doing ok... How are you feeling today Pamela?

One is certainly more feisty!  I hope they both make it! Feeling a bit better today, just tired, still got runny nose, cough and headache, but no temperature today.  Off for a nap.

Pamela, they may have a slight eye infection as they should really have opened their eyes by now (although not to worry they haven't they will in time). Try bathing their eyes with warm water with cotton wool when you feed them as this will help them. When we hand reared Dizzee & Rascal we had to bathe until the opened their eyes and also Rascal would feed like a monster whereas Dizzee hated feeding times. Once they were weaned though they reversed and Dizzee would guzzle all the wet food!

I had wondered about their eyes, I will bathe them next feed. You will hear them yelling!
I guess their mum washes their face normally.
Thanks

Make sure the water is pre boiled and cooled which will help keep infection to a minimum.  Always use a separate piece of cotton wool for each eye to stop spreading any infection they may have.  You probably already know to do this but just in case.   ;)

You can also buy eye wipes from pets at home as my two had sticky eyes when they were born

Brown feisty kitty put on 4gms in 24 hours, grey kitty nothing. She won't suck, brown kitty sucks like mad, he had 4ml this evening, grey 3ml. Grey goes straight to sleep, brown walks about moaning. I will up the milk tomorrow by .5 ml, is that enough each feed?
I wish I knew what day they were born, the old lady said they were a week ago , but I think it was less.
Grey kitty purs like mad. They did a poo yesterday, none today though.
Pamela

Ps just fed them before I go to bed.  Brown kitty took 5ml, sucked on the syringe like mad, gtey kitty 3ml and that was a fight, he will not suck. I have to squirt tiny bits in when he opens his mouth to yell, he fell asleep, so I washed his face to waken him.  He did a huge pee when I wiped his tummy with a cotton bud. No poo today

I don't think little grey kitty is going to make it, he is very floppy, not strong and noisy like feisty kitty. I went to the vet and got the correct feeder, feisty emptied the bottle fast, grey kitty could not suck so I used the syringe. Fingers crossed for grey kitty.
