old raspberry plants ?

ive been told that i have a few white raspberry plants on my plot, i'd never heard of white raspberrys before ?, they all look a bit old and strangly, how do i bring such things back to life ? , im on my way to the plot so i will take some pics of said plants  :)

perhaps they are white currants - rather than white raspberries  :unsure:

anyone have any ideas what to do to get these growing berries again ? , do i need to cut them back or just leave them now  :unsure:

My dads plot ones look the same, I would say it's just because they were not stripped back, we will cut dads to the ground and see what happens. Mind you we are not actually keeping dads as the berries are rubbish and you can hardly pick them without them crushing or breaking up. Ours however produce huge berries with a firm shape and keep very well.

I'd weed out all the grass and weeds around them, give them a hard prune and some manure/compost.
They should grow stronger after that, but you may not get fruit this year if they are summer raspberries.

i will get all the weeds cleared tomorrow and put some manure down, should i dig it in or just dress the top layer ?
