Oh Peapod, you've got a Boxer, well you have my vote.  Lost the last of our four last year.  Can't do any more as both of us work full time and it wouldn't be fair.  Have bred them for about twelve years.

Aw thanks! Everyone keeps telling me boxers are an aquired taste - most of my friends love labs and westies - though dont get me wrong I think they are gorgeous too, boxers are IMO the very best family dog you could ever get.  Im so sorry you lost yours, I cant believe how upsetting it really is.  We lost our 10yo boy Floyd to a brain tumour in Oct 2006, and I vowed I wouldnt get another dog - its too hard to lose them.
Then despite my vow, low and behold, Sonny turns up in June 2007!(ok we went to look JUST LOOK! at the breeders!!)  He was my redundancy money reward to myself and he is my baby boy - a lunatic! but a wonderful little man :-)
We are looking at breeding them too in three of four years when I can (hopefully) get my career off to a flying start and give the OH more time at home with them - well thats the plan!
Its lovely to meet another boxer fan  :D

KITT, the cat. Yes, i named a cat after a car. Isn't she cute? Here she is about to pounce on my foot probably.
Broke my heart a couple of weeks after this photo was taken, died suddenly overnight and the vet told me it was heart failure. My pew pew mew friend is now no more.

RIP KITT, my little Knightrider. Sept 2007 - Nov 2007

freecyclegardener - that's such a shame. We've had cats with us for 30 years nearly and so, of course, have seen them pass away. They all hurt when they leave but at least they've had a good life whilst they were with us.

wighty - so good to hear you take your pet welfare so seriously. If only everyone did. Boxers are lovely dogs, aren't they?
Check out our books - ideal presents
