... lordy, why can I not get cucumbers to behave.

2 seeds planted, 1 nice healthy looking cucumber plantlet, 1 no-show.  Disappointed but so be it.

Well now three weeks on seed number 2 has decided it's going to have a go.  Wahay I thought ... but no.

It's sticking it's head downward, with the bent stem sticking out of the soil and one or two roots waving in the breeze ...  :shock:   Having had a closer look it's go two lovely healthy looking leaves burying themselves in the soil ... heaven help me!!

I've tried to sort it out, but it's clearly a dodgy specimen before I start.  It'll be cucumberless salads for me again this year I can just feel it.

Mine are sulking too. Sowed five and have only three left and one has that bent neck too. Sigh

Oh well I suppose we can sow some more  

I grew Petita ones last year and they went bonkers

Is this greenhouse ones, I should think is, sown this early. Do not worry, do again, sow on edge.
