Title: Elephant Garlic - when to harvest?
Post by: greenhead on May 29, 2012, 09:51
Planted cloves back in October last year, they have grown quite well and now look like leeks about 1" across and 24" tall,  when should they be harvested?

Harvest for storing once the foliage has done yellow. Dry off well.

Hi      I'm Greenhead's OH.   We noticed today the elephant garlic are starting to produce flower spikes - do we cut these off and then wait for the leaves to go yellow?
