Hi
I've noticed one of our chucks has a swollen eye lid not sure
How its been caused maybe dust or even fighting.
Just wondering what I can try at home to maybe reduce the swelling
Or even clear it up.

Does anyone know if eye drops or bathing would help or would this need antibiotics?

I would take her to a vets to get swabs tested to see if she needs eye drops. In the mean time bathe with cooled boiled water, Does she have any other symptoms of an illness, rattly chest etc?

I know this doesn't help much but I've not been home over the last few weeks
But I did notice she seemed to have a rattlly chest before Christmas but that cleared up
And now she has this swollen eye lid , is there a chance there related.
I'm going to try and find a chicken friendly vet as the one we take our pug to
Isn't that intrested ,and quite money minded .
Is there any point in giving her antibiotics before seeing a vet or do they have to prescribe
Them.
