'Flapjack' / cookie recipe
« on: December 30, 2013, 20:23 »
Just saw this shared on Facebook from PerezHilton's page.

It's dairy-free, egg-free, flour-free and no added sugar.  I imagine it refers to US cups.

3 ripe, mashed, bananas
1/3 cup apple sauce
2 cups oats
1/4 cup almond milk
1/2 cup raisins (optional)
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp cinnamon

Bake at 350F for 15-20 minutes (I think this is for individual cookies).

One commentator suggested adding slivered almonds and/or cranberries, and said she cooked it in a brownie tray for 10 mins longer before cutting into bars.

Some nutritionist commentators said it was OK for their diabetic clients.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Yes it Does ;)

When someone makes this recipe please post some feedback, might give it a go myself (kids packing up in mind)

The oats will absorb a lot of liquid, won't they? but I haven't actually tried it...........
