getting a early start on carrots

hi all

i was thinking about trying to start carrots in a cold frame to keep frost of them
as you can see (pics) i have a rase bed witch i was going to grow carrots in anyway.it was an old rabbit run
i was going to cover the frame in clear plastic make a cold frame and when it warms up i can take covers of
it gets the sun all day and with all the cold we had the ground not frozen
so two questions

is it worth a go

and whats the best carrots to sow

It's not popped up much since you joined, but we hope to update it as the carrots progress.

(They're still alive!).
