Chilly do good cups etc that will keep drinks hot for 12 hours or cold for 24, mine do anyway

I've just bought one of their flasks from church - hadn't realised it was by Chilly until I looked at the box!

Leftover chicken, veggie rice with fridge gravel clear out stuff and some hm spicy beans I found in the freezer when I was looking for something else.  Basically a mix and match of things that needed to be eaten and it went together surprisingly well  :)

Grow Your Own / Re: Cucumber plant stem damaged.

As a precaution just sow a couple more seeds to grow on. My last sowings of cucumber will be in early June and they will still produce a good crop later in the year (as good as earlier spring sown seed). These are grown under glass but I guess there would be no difference if grown outside assuming they were of the right variety.

Grow Your Own / Re: Slugs (again)

Over winter I tried a mixture of Marmite, Plain Flour and Sugar mixed with warm water in beer type home made traps. They caught hundreds of slugs especially the little black underground ones that you don't see during the day. No reason to think dried yeast won't work. The mixture does start to ferment after a few days especially in warmer weather.

My new variety is Costoluto Florentino on the recommendation of this forum.

As I already grow Stupice, Galina, Black Krim, Honeycomb, Sweet Million, Tigrella, Orange Banana (not grown for a few years and giving another chance) , Grushovka & Latah, Crimson Crush and primabella I don't have a huge capacity for new varieties!

[can anyone work out which seed company I'm a fan of  ;) ]

That’s another lovely lot of variation Potty Plotty Lotty - I can see we have Black Krim and Tigerella in common  :)

I have been given a couple of Marmandes today so need to add that to my list  :D

The serious diet started two days ago.
Is there a none serious type ? I really should do something too - I put a battery in the bathroom scales yesterday as my knee has started to play up, I've added 2.5 stone since ML died.
OH NO!, start cutting down on carbs, slowly - see where that takes you before trying anything too hard. It works for me whenever I reach my red line weight....
