World Wide Knit in Public Day this coming Saturday 13th June. Get out your needles and wool and see if there is an event near you.

Why not give encaustic art a go. You need to invest in a special little iron, some special card, and blocks of wax.

You heat the iron and melt some different coloured wax and spread it over the card moving the  iron as you go. You get the most amazing effects. When the wax is dry give it a polish with a soft cloth.

There are DVDs to teach you how to get started and probably, although I haven't checked it out, on youtube.

You can make cards and pictures which look really stunning. I used to do it with the kids in my class. There work made a spectacular display. ;)

I have 2 new Cross stitches on the go.

Here's what I made for my god-daughter for her 5th birthday.
She hasn't had it yet because her mum and I haven't had a chance to ctach up with each other yet!!

I didn' frame it incidently - I just can't do as good a job  :(

I didn't on this occasion as i said (I don't know if the framer steams the creases out or just stretches it well but I can't get it as perfect!
Wish I could! It cost me £50 to get her framed!! But MIss Bluebell is worth every penny - all my honary neieces and nephews are - but she's special, she's my fairy-goddess daughter :)

Thanks everyone for the lovely comments :)
On FB I got over 240 likes for her!!
