It will appear shortly after sunset in the East and will look bigger than it usually does, because it is nearer to the earth right now. Hopefully we'll also be able to see Saturn which will above the moon a little to the right.

Exciting prospect, and good weather forecast for tonight - not at all sure what the chances of me waking up in the early hours to actually see it are though.

The moon has just risen over the hedge across the road, it is bigger and from here it looks quite yellow 
Cant see Saturn yet though.....

Yes it was lovely, never thought to get a photo, looked huge over our back fence, but with the binoculars I could see Saturn and the rings although they were very hazy.

I barely controlled my inner 12 year old boy, keeping him from remarking about the moon rising above your neighbor's hedge!

Didn't go there... no ma'am. He would have lost it if instead of looking for Saturn, you were looking for Uranus.
