runny plum jam

anybody help with a runny plum jam problem? i now have 10lbs of the best runny plum  jam on the planet!! even after the addition of pectin. my product was boiled with a lemon and stones but has failed to set, any ideas? alternatively what can i do with 10lbs of plum sauce?

O how awful........did you test for set.......I would have just continued boiling until it did set :unsure:
Did you add enough sugar? Sorry if these seem basic points but i've never had a plum jam fail to set.........

yep boiled almost to destruction then again when i added the pectin, exact amount of sugar as per recipe must be something im doing drastically wrong as this is the second year of failing,on the upside my crab apple jelly is to die for!!!

My plum jam was bad the last two times, one lot boiled for 40 mins... still did not set.  Could it be the plums?

possibly soon know as i have a couple of pound left and ill try different sugar other than that i guess it's duck in plum sauce for the next two years!!!!

1. Get jar of runny plum jam down from shelf (or fridge)

2. Open lid

3. Retrieve some of said jam from jar

4. Bung it on the plate

5. Replace lid and jar

 ::)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

You'll need to add some of the following to make it into Plum Sauce...

Wine or cider vinegar, soy sauce, ginger and finely chopped red chillis. Yum.
