Was getting 5 eggs now only 1???? 5 girls 1yr old

Well, they're on short rations, and confined to their run till they start producing     Or to be more precise, I've ruled out health problems; I can't believe it's just down to the weather, 'cause they laid very reliably through freezing cold, baking hot and thunderstorms, and it's just sort of average-ish at the moment; but I have a feeling they've been getting a wee bit too much corn and got a little bit spoilt and chubby ... so they're on a strict diet of layers pellets & grit for a few days.

Boy, you should have heard them grumble today
