Rosie seemed oblivious to it all and still likes going to the vets which is a good job as her next visit will be after she has had her first season to be speyed.

Why do they have to wait till they have had a season?  They say the same here, I wonder how many dogs get pregnant while ´waiting to be done ´

So glad Rosie is ok, bet your bank balance heaved a sigh of relief too!

sure did pamela - we were banking on it being at least £1500 for the op  .
We had one dog done before her first season (we also had a dog at the time) and were warned that as she was so young and small they may not be able to remove all her bits and they were right. Every 6 months she must have given out the scent of being in season as we had every dog from miles around come visiting so we will wait until Rosie is a couple of months after her season before getting her speyed.
