mole scarers

I've been reading some of the historic posts about moles and see that quite of few of you have had success with sonic mole scarers. My question is: is there are particular type people would recommend, and is it worth paying more or are the cheap ones just as good? I've been looking on ebay and the array of different products is overwhelming....
