had my silkies 2 weeks and i thought id only get eggs next spring, and after checking the nest box this morning and nothing, i came home form work to find a lovely small egg, very proud! still not sure which of the 3 silkies laid. would it be likely the hen will lay all winter now or are they just as likely to stop?

I remember that first egg it was cool. I hacve a silkie and she lays every two or three days over winter. I hope yours are the same
