Family fruit trees

Hi, new to forum,
I have recently bought two trees. cherry and a pear family fruit tees, ( 2 main leaders off main stem). I dont know how to prune these going forward, and really struggling to find info online, can anyone help?

Welcome to the forum  :)

There's plenty of time to find out about pruning the cherry, as it's not supposed to be pruned during the winter, in order to avoid the risk of disease entering the tree.

Pears are, I think, like apples and should be pruned before they start putting on leaves in early spring. So there's time yet.

I was always taught the four D's for pruning: cut out all Dead, Diseased, Damaged, and Duplicating branches to start with.

That being said, are both your trees quite young? That can mean a slightly different approach to the pruning you do to start with.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
