Tomato gloop.
« on: October 20, 2023, 12:46 »
Good afternoon everyone,
we are 'rendering down' our last batch of tomatoes to make tomato gloop.  We use it for soup (original)! As a base for bologniase sauce, chilli con carne sauce and sometimes a curry, does anyone have another recipe for using 'tomato gloop'? ;)

Cheers,  Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

I'd   love to have some 'tomato gloop'.  The last couple of years we've not managed our usual 'glut' and they come in as dribs and drabs.  We used to have a whole drawer full of stewed down toms, pulverised and stored in the freezer as passata but we have to buy it now.
