I spotted a very large mound of earth under a bramble patch near my lottie. Looks a bit big for rabbits, about 2ft high, no idea of extent back into the brambles though, so I am thinking badgers?

If it is badgers, are they a nuisence to veg growing?

Not as much as rabbits, but can cause some damage, like corn, courgettes and generally dig up things.

Don't know about their burrowing habits though.

I think badgers eat slugs and snails as well as worms

At the allotments down the road they are notorious for eating sweetcorn.

yes they have eaten all my carrots :cry: every single one and squashed my strawberries :?
