Is it too ealry to plant these out  yet?
I have them growing in the greenhouse and they are a good 8" high now

I also have lots of brassicas but not sure when these need to go out.

Runners dont like frost at all - which you can get till end of may potentially

Ive not sowed any yet and dont live that far from you - planning on giving it another two weeks

Brassicas can go out now really

Any frost will kill runner beans so you would be taking an almighty risk planting them out now. I would imagine mid to late May is the last frost date where you are but most of remember last year's quite severe late frosts with a degree of nervousness..............!

Remember that on a clear still night an air temperature of around +4C can still result in a ground frost, although some particular areas are more prone to it than others.

Don't "do" brassicas, I'm afraid (except radishes!)  :)
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Runners need a bit longer yet..for reasons already said.

Brassicas will be fine, but harden them off first if you havent already done so

Hi Ma Lowe, I don`t know about you but on our allotment when the North or Easterly wind blows it is freezing.  I would also wait a while till it warms up a little.  I have only been growing for just over a year now and last year I saw people plant their young runners out about this time of year and that cold wind did them no good at all.  They all had to start again.

Thank you everyone.

Last year was our first year and it was late may early June before we were able to plant anything as we only rotivated the garden on 23rd May so being able to plant them out earlier is aking me ever so impatient lol.  :D
I will heed the good warnings and keep them in the green house until next month

I haven;t hardened off the brassicas yet but will start to do that tomorrow.

Thank you again everyone
