hi all the last few days our 2 hens have stopped laying and one of them has a watery eye but seems fine as jumping about as usual and eating and drinking any ideas?

How old are your hens? Has anything changed in their environment or surroundings?
How long is a few days? Maybe give some more information as there are some great people on this forum that could give you some good advice?

well i have had them about 2 weeks now and they are roughly 22 weeks old. its been about 3-4 days they havent laid.the hen that has a runny eye had it yesterday and was absolutely fine this morning even eating out of my hand,but this afternoon has a runny eye again and was asleep in the run.

sounds like she may need a course of antibiotics.

hi all again i gave the hens a fews days to see if she was ok as she started to brighten up now shes all back to normal,looking full off it again,and is liking a good cuddle every now and again, still not laying though but who cares as long as shes a lot better as i always say she will lay again when shes ready.
