Herbs on Windowsill

I have sown some herb seeds in little pots on the Kitchen windowsill. Should I cover them with cloche's (plastic 'pop' bottles cut in half), or will they be ok as they are indoors, and protected from any frost?

Pop bottles Ok but leave lids off.
