Who eats PSB leaves?

I have been and they've been delicious.  I've also been eating the purple heads but a fellow allotmenteer told me today you're not supposed to eat the leaves?!?!  ould love to hear some opinions on this......................................

We eat the small leaves immediately around the purple head, probably 5 or 6 round each one, the bigger leaves get fed to the chickens

I plan to eat them. Tough outer ones can be juiced with other leafy veg and some fruit for a healthy power shake. This guy shows you how.

Unfortunately the pigeons did when I forgot to cover them over when the snow came!!  Never gave me the chance too!!  :mad:

We eat or juice the lower leaves and any grotty ones go to the chickens.
Got to make sure you don't take too many so the plant suffers but it doesn't affect the sproutings if you leave a length of the woody leaf stem attached to the main stem.

We eat the smaller ones around the heads and the big ones go to the rabbits. I suppose I could make them into a soup and blitz it in the liquidiser but never really thought about it before. The bunnies wouldn't be happy if I did though. :)

Thank you all for your responses.  Based on this we shall continue to eat the leaves.  We've been steaming them and they're delicious!!
