chicken run

We are about to build a new run ,and are goingtomakeit big enough to walk in .I was hoping to put a roof on and have seen that people use perspex , will this turn itinto a greenhouse in summer?,and get to hot?I am also struggling as to what to use as a litter /base in the run

a lot of people use Onduline or Coraline (same thing but different manufacturers) which come in clear or black, green and red. If the sides aren't covered then air can circulate thus making it unlike a greenhouse
