As far as I am concerned I do it when the ground is dry enough so that it doesn't clog up the machine.

absolutely rite mikem let the ground dry out don't be to hasty herb or you will do more harm than good  :(

I usually do mine in late March/early April, but like the others said, wait until the ground has dried out alot :D
