Hows your Courgettes

Outdoor courgettes are growing on nicely.  I'll sow some more shortly as well.

I did an experiment this year where I grew some tenders in empty 20 litre fertiliser containers (BFB, Growmore).  Cleaned out and painted black and a few drainage holes in the bottom.  Early sown plants were grown on in the unheated greenhouse and placed out as the weather has improved.  I've had early courgettes for a couple of weeks now and it's been a real pleasure.  The aubergines are larger than those in the green house border soil as are the peppers and chillies.  I'll definitely be pursuing this technique in the future.
