I知 just getting back into home brewing have enjoyed a few bottles of TT LL lately, could anyone recommend a beer kit that would be similar in taste etc.

I use the Geordie Yorkshire bitter kit. It is a proper old fashioned bitter.

Not sure about the TT one but can highly recomend Woodfordes Nelsons Revenge.
It is honestly the best ale i have ever tasted, and that includes pub ales.
Another good one once again by Woodfordes is the Wherry

Stompy, I've just chucked 5 galls of woodefordes wherry down the sink. 
I thought it was disgusting. A really strange tang to it. It wasn't tart or vinegary.

It was.......... well just strange. It may be what is sometimes referred to as "an aquired taste".

It will have been infected, i have brewed that and other woodfordes and none had a tang to them, definately an infected brew.
