picked up two hens from bhwt one of the hens is rather bald and seems to be scratching bald patches eating well though and seems very lively just worried about the baldness and scratching? heard some comments about teatree????

Tea tree is very soothing.

Make sure you have checked all over and treated for lice and mites.

They'll be fine with a bit of tlc before long  :D

Someone will be along soon but you need to dust them with red mite powder, their feather's will grow back very soon now you have rescued them.  Auntie has a link I'm sure. Good Luck Justin

Red mite.  The one thing they're likely to bring with them is Red Mite, from BHWT website.  

Keep them away from any other chooks you got and treat the hens & living quarters with red mite powder.
