Can you get a heat lamp what will run off a car battery?

dont know as it would have to be a 12 volt bulb to do that.
You could try asking a local agricultural merchant or a electrical specialist retailer.
I have just had a look in the catalogue of one that we use for work (RS components) and all their infa red heat lamps are 220/250 volts.
Think you would need too much current so it would flatten a car battery very quickly sorry.
Staffies are softer than you think.

Agree with Joyfull. You wouldn't get any useful heat from a 12v lamp. Car headlights are about 70/80watts which might give off a bit of warmth but would flatten your battery in a few hours.
