Well,
As has recently been said, why does it all happen at this time of year? I last saw my Mum - who had absolutely no idea by then who I was and was taken by Lewy Body Demetia in March 2009 - on Boxing Day 2008. :( This has made me feel a little quiet over the past few days...
Now my 13 year old Terrier has taken poorly. :( He was "off" the day after Boxing Day then right as rain the next day. :) On Wedneday evening, he went a bit poorly again - sicky - and he still wasn't any better yesterday morning, so we booked him into the vet, appt. 2 pm. He deteriorated badly in those few hours before his appointment and they decided to X ray him. Turns out he has a growth in front of his heart and fluid on the lung. :( He has two tablets to take - a diuretic and a heart pill - and we have an appointment for next week.
I didn't take him as I dissolve into a puddle of tears at this sort of time, but I surmise that the vet said that if he improves he will have to stay on the diuretic tablets. :(

OFGS it can never just rain can it :nowink: so sorry for your boy. Wishing you all the best. Big hugs from over here :)

So sorry to hear your little fellow isn't well. :(
I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for him..xx
Hugs to him and you.. ;) xxx

Ah poor old boy...hope the tablets work x
-
Thanks for your kind thoughts guys. Its hard to tell if the tablets are really working as he has never been good at taking medication and he is still very rattly in the breathing department. :( We're just trying to keep him calm as he seems to panic and then makes himself sick. :(

Hope the tablets work, hugs to him and you xxx

Fingers crossed for you and the little chap. I know how I would feel if it was Jake, he has been through the mill since Sept with operations and kennel cough caught whilst at the vets. They really do become part of the family. Hope he improves.
