We discovered a wasps nest in the wild greenery on the other side of the track that leads to our garage right at the end of the garden. A big papery nest in the bushes and quite easily seen.

As we generally leave this small patch of ground to mind itself (apart from clearing the worst of the weeds and planting unwanted shrubs) we decided to leave the wasps nest alone. No children go anywhere near it nor do the neighbours.

To my knowledge the wasps are still there doing what wasps do and causing no problems at all. Had it been near the house or where others might disturb it then it would have had to go.

I think just leave them be if they're not in the way

If they are in the way then treat them when they have gone to bed in the evening. My pest control chap told me to buy a new container puffer pack of ant killer and just puff that into the nest hole and that would be the end of them

Were very happy to say we are wasp nest free now thank god. We now have the hard work of finishing to prepare our plot. And get some winter stuff in.  Thank you everybody for all the advise.
