I wondered if there is any type of plant that I can plant in flower pot or baskets that mosquitos dont like.  I love sitting at my stables watching my daughter rider her horses but the mosquitos are quite awful at times. 

I have bought repellant and also those smoke wheel things but I just wondered if there was any smell plant wise that they dont like that I can plant.  Thanks.

Rosemary,Catnip and marigolds are three that spring to mind.

They don't like anything that smells lemony........ so try lemon balm, but cut off the flowers before the seeds set and spread it far and wide

Citronella. Every respectable BBQ'r has several around the eating area.

Thank you shall buy them all and see how it goes.  Nothing worse than coming in with huge red blotches all over you when all you want to do is have a nice evening.

I will make some flower baskets up and hang them from the stables.
