Do they have to be vertical? Mine got such big heads last year (probably from being so tall, so watch out everyone   ) that the stem couldn't hold them upright!

Ive added you, not realy any big rules, just try and grow the biggest and best sunflower and possible take a few pictures

Over on the pumkin growing compo diggalotty suggested that the winner gets it put under there name to show off, would this be possible aunt sally? Also I was thinking, could I also put this on the allotment campaign group on facebook, it might attract more people

The kids sowed some on the weekend at their 'little seedlings' club at the local garden centre - they're in the greenhouse now so we'll see how they go.
