Do they have to be vertical? Mine got such big heads last year (probably from being so tall, so watch out everyone  :tongue2: ) that the stem couldn't hold them upright!

Ive added you, not realy any big rules, just try and grow the biggest and best sunflower and possible take a few pictures :)

Over on the pumkin growing compo diggalotty suggested that the winner gets it put under there name to show off, would this be possible aunt sally? Also I was thinking, could I also put this on the allotment campaign group on facebook, it might attract more people :)

The kids sowed some on the weekend at their 'little seedlings' club at the local garden centre - they're in the greenhouse now so we'll see how they go.
