This friendly competition ends on 31st October, so there is plenty of time for them to get huge  ::) ;)

and for the pretty ones to get prettier :nowink:

My biggest one is now bigger than a football, although it is orange now so I'm guessing that means it won't get much bigger.  I also have a really ugly one but I don't suppose there is a category for that!!

Mine's not a compy winner, it only got to 50 something inches round, nevertheless it's been given it's own little display at the harvest festival, along with some of my carrots.

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Well, it appears I won't be putting mine in the competition after all - it has been pinched from my allotment plot, together with quite a number of small ones - absolutely pointless!!

Hi I can't enter this competition as not enough posts.
Anyway i've never grew pumpkins before but my daughter gave me some seeds from a magazine,Out of 10 seeds only 2 managed to survive to produce pumpkins, and the plants seemed to go on forever.
They produced 6 pumpkins between them, about the size of a football, sonot going to win any competitions with them! anyway.

Some 1 put me out of my misery :( :(

There must be some big'ish pumpkins out there!

Seem's like its a poor year for size up here but have 3-4 football size per plant :D :D

Well here's a pic of my 3 and I'm fairly pleased with them, all the foliage is starting to die back now so I'm tempted to harvest them now to be honest as there's a risk they'll get nicked :-(

The one on the left is the largest it's not just a trick of the photo.

I'd get them in, Paul. Looking at the colour, as you say, they won't get any bigger and it'd be a shame to lose them.

Walked into our local convenience store, to see two huge pumpkins about twice the size of mine, which I am pleased with, one was labeled up as 58 kg ( didnt look at the price)  Now thinking mine are a bit small,  :(

Harvested my pair this weekend.

One of them crossed with a Crown Prince but still gave a weight of 78lb.

The other one is 74 inches and weighs 106lb. Has a chance.

Last years was lighter but still won the village contest so...fingers crossed.

Trying to send pics from phone to pc.

Top tip for camping....don't go.
