So in my freezer I have both rhubarb and strawberries. I made 2 batches of rhubarb wine last year and plan on doing some strawberry wine soon but wondered if anyone had tried strawberry and rhubarb and if so how good was it and would you be willing to share a recipe?
Many thanks.

I should leave the rhubarb to 'do its own thing', If you want a challenge how about having a bash at strawberry champaine!
Cheers,Tony

I haven't enjoyed the rhubarb as much as I had hoped I would so thought I would give it a twist with strawberry. I am kind of hoping as the rhubarb matures I will like it more.

I haven't done rhubarb and strawberry, but I have made rhubarb and red grape, using cheap supermarket juice cartons. I just subbed some of the water for a couple of litres of grape juice and cut back on the sugar a little. It rounds the flavour out and greatly improves the wine.
If you have a juice wine made based on red fruits, you could blend that with the rhubarb wine you are not so sure about. I saw your other post about the juice wines you were trying ;)
I've made strawberry wine as well and that is lovely. Save your strawberries to make that and savour it :)

Strawberry wine CJJJ BERRY first steps in winemaking (secondhand books ABEBOOKS)
4lb strawberries
3lb sugar
1tsp citric acid
1/2 tsp grape tannin
yeast + nutrient
mash fruit , mix in sugar & 2 litres water. leave 24-36hrs. strain into demijohn. mix pulp with 1 litre water, strain into dj. Add acid, tannin, yeast & yeast nutient.
I use a stewed cup of tea as tannin, adding a white grape concentrate might be nice or add rhubarb.
