Hatching eggs to Spain
« on: June 20, 2010, 16:46 »
Hi all
I live in rural Spain and although I can get loads of chickens and have hatched eggs with broodies and incubator I was wondering if it is possible to get specific breed hatching eggs sent from the UK to Spain.
Would the delivery time be too long to keep the eggs viable, would the postage jouney be too rough andd finally is it legal to export, or import, hatching eggs.
Any input would be very valuable.
Best wishes to all
Chris

DEFRA have changed the rules and its now illegal to send eggs out of the country :(

I thought you could send under 20 and be ok, but have been advised otherwise now :(

I know that they can survive if packed properly and develop well, even after all that travel :) :) :)
I love Pekins, Polands and Seramas :) and eggs!!!
