i have to many cockerels this year in fact every chick born this year was a cockerel so iam gonna fatten them up for eatting but one of them is a gold silkie cockerel.. has any body ever eaten a silkie before..
IF any body wants to save there lives there free to go to a good home...

I would have thought that a silkie would not be big enough to eat

We have eaten many Silkies
They are a bit off putting as they have black in the bones and sometimes black in the flesh, yes, even the gold ones. but the meats tastes just as good as anything else. 
If they are a bit small spatchcock them and have one per person.

You can always do something with small breeds, we even eat tiny call ducks.

They eat them a lot in China I believe, for making soups and things. Can't imagine there is lots of meat on them though!
