I'm going to look after my friends pullets the day after tomorrrow. Has nayone got any advcie for me as I'm practicing for POL hens.

Do exactly as he asks don't give them any tidbits and be calm and confident around them, talking to them helps no end  :D

Sometimes reading the posts here make looking after chooks sound scary but apart from loosing 2 girls to a fox and 1 to a mad springer spaniel, I haven't had any trouble. There was never better company in the garden while you are working, they always come to "help"! :wink:

Too true most people only post when we have a problem or something we are not sure about, but as a general rule I have found they are a doddle to keep and become pets very easy, which makes it difficult to eat 'em  :oops:
