Regardless of the number of times I chop fresh chilli, I seem to have a mental block on 'scratching' (ahem) my nose afterwards.

Snorting water really doesn't help much either......  :oops:

if you forget have a cut lemon at hand and rub all over the hands of affectd area it will give some relief but wont last and you will have to rub the area again , it works

I don't know about lemon on burns but yogurt and soured cream do help internally. And has other benefits too. :tongue2: Well, not in the nose. :roll:

the lemon is for when you forget to protect your hands whenhandling your chillis not the type you get from fire then you use plain cold water straight away .

Caisien: This is natures cure for Chilli burn, nothing else works as good, you will find it all dairy foods as it is a milk protein. Forget water, beer (although I am still to be convinced so will keep drinking it to see), never tried lemon. But like somethings in life prevention is better than cure, pop a latex glove on for protection :wink:
