Title: The advantage of having a son that works on an organic farm...

... is all the fresh, free local produce we receive!  The extras that don't sell are given away to the workers on the farm that grow the crops. A wonderful benefit, and as it should be. I think the farm also donates some produce to food banks.

Today's bounty is the broccoli, cauliflower, spinach, tomatoes, carrots, and cucumbers that you see.  All grown locally in our county!

The day after that lot, he brought us four pounds of beetroot, and four very large sweet potatoes ! To top it off, he made dinner for my wife and I on Sunday, and for his brother too  :).  That meal included some of the broccoli, and also tomatoes (big farm-raised organic tomatoes, what a treat!  :D).

Both boys do cook, and typically we have our "farmer son" over three nights a week to share the dinner we made.  His younger brother is  a very good cook.  Between the two of them, we're spoiled  :D.  We all try to help each other out; not all families are like that.  We count our blessings.
