Our Chicks are Seven Weeks Old!

Okay, okay, I know I post terrible pictures of my chicks often, but these are really, really good!  Sorta.  Anyways, we think we have two hens and one cockerel (He's the one with the brown ruff around his neck).  I do hope I am wrong about him/her!   ::) :D

When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!

They are gorgeous  :) :) :)
Ive no idea about which sex, have 6 that are about 15week old now,i do suspect 2 are cockrels but i decided im not wondering about it no more till they cockadoodle..if they lay an egg before that then its a definate bonus  :D
I hope they all turn out to be hens for you  :) ive no idea where to pass mine onto if they turn out to be  cockrels,i would love to keep them but i already have an adult cockrel.

Aww they're cute.

We have one cockerel too, but hopefully being a rare local breed we might be able to home him.

Joolz, I bet you have at least one cockerel!   ;)  ; Rare local breeds have a chance - even cockerels.  This little chap is half Cochin and half Golden Sussex.  So I guess if he crows, off he will go to the allotment with his girlies.  We've been coveting our neighbour's hen house and run next to us down there, which has been vacant for years.  We may approach him to see if we can do a deal!
