Hiya all I've recently sown some carnation seed and I was just wondering if anyone else had given it a go. Id really like to know what I might have gotten myself into. 

How hard/easy is it. Im new to flowers and stuff so forgive me

Carnations are quite easy to grow, very similar to dianthus. But carnations take a bit longer from seed to flowering time so you should be okay if you've started them off now.

Take care with watering - do from below rather than above to avoid any fungus problems killing seedlings. They need some water but don't like to be constantly damp.

I have grown some from seed and they are well worth the effort.Good luck
