Pinching Out Aubergine

Just pick out the tips of the plant, a couple of leaves, just so it stops growing and the plant will branch out from the side.

the word tip refers to the newest point of growth on the plant be it the top or a branch. The object is to prevent anymore growth at that point thereby encourageing the plant to find other routes to expend its youthful exuberence, that is put out side shoots or branches. just cut the top off and see  what happens.  

Mine don't seem to be doing much apart from putting out new leaves and dropping the older one's.  I moved one from its pot to a larger pot and its had a very small root system.
